Resin Crack Sealer Plus by Degafloor Middle East
Based on advanced fast curing resin technology, theResin Crack Sealer Plus by Degafloor is suitable for cracks within concrete.
The Resin Crack Sealer is an ultra-low viscosity, low surface tension, rapid curing reactive resin used to fill and seal cracks in concrete structures that range from hairline to 3mm in width. The resin Crack Sealer Plus has been designed to penetrate deep into weak substrates to consolidate, strengthen and also to protect sound concrete against water and chloride ingress, and dusting.
Concrete can crack for a variety of issues including drying shrinkage, excess water and improper curing. However, if left untreated, it creates a physical trip hazard and can cause further damage to the area over time, especially where moisture is in the nearby vicinity. This is why the Degafloor team worked hard to develop a solution – their Resin Crack Sealer Plus.
We also supply a pothole repair product, Degafill, – that comes with a 5-year warranty. It’s designed for repairs within the asphalt and has successfully obtained HAPAS approval. This product can be purchased from the Degafloor shop or you can learn more about it at www.Degafill.com
Substrate preparation
Before using the Resin Crack Sealer Plus, we recommend that all substrates must be clean, dry and free from contamination i.e. dust, dirt, oil, laitance, curing compounds and other contaminants.
The substrate should be capable of accepting a resin finish and this is best achieved by mechanical means (shot blasting, planning or diamond grinding).
However, when looking to use Crack Sealer Plus as a dust proofing seal or as protection against water / chloride ion ingress, it is often possible to apply directly onto unprepared concrete (subject to an installation and curing test).
Chemical Resistance
The Resin Crack Sealer Plus has excellent chemical resistance to water and chloride ion ingress, inorganic acids, organic acids, alkalines, salts, cleaning agents and foodstuffs.
Cure Times
Degafloor Crack Sealer Plus cures fully within just 1 hour of installation (both chemically and physically). The cure time remains unaffected at temperatures down to 5°C.
Available pack sizes
Available in 25kg or 180kg steel drums.
Mixing and application method
Decant the required quantity of Crack Sealer Plus into a clean mixing vessel, add BPO hardener and mix with a drill and paddle for 3 minutes. Apply by squeegee or roller using a light pressure to achieve an even and consistent coverage. Apply a second coat as required.
Health and Safety
All resins are manufactured to ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001:2004 and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 standards and comply with all current EU hygiene of foodstuffs regulations. All our resins are non-toxic and certified to confirm physiological inoffensiveness.
Storage
Store below 25°C and protect against direct sunlight. At temperatures below 15°C the paraffin dissolved in the binder may precipitate. The material must be stirred thoroughly before use.

Features and benefits include:
- Fast 1 hour cure time – rapid installation and return to service
- Ultra low viscosity formulation – extremely easy to install
- Improves compressive strength and surface hardness – can save a substrate that would otherwise need to be removed / extensively repaired
- Stabilisation of cracks up to 3mm in width – reduced risk of future cracking
- Outstanding durability in all conditions – able to withstand tough mechanical stresses
- Creates watertight finish – impervious to liquids
With its unique formulation, the Resin Crack Sealer Plus kit can be typically applied to the following areas:
Badly cracked concrete structures
- Weak and friable concrete
- Concrete substrates with low compressive and tensile strength
- Dust proofing of concrete
- Protection of concrete from water / chloride ion ingress
